Process Journal May 27: Today we decided how our car was going to be and we have our chasis. We almost have all the items we need but we have to make a base for the car. If not, it will not be aerodynamic. May 29: Today we think we have tech car chasis but we still have to do some work on the wheels. We also have to make it aerodynamic. Though we goofed around a little bit today.
May 30: Today we didn't advance much because we have noticed that our car is too little for the solar panel so we don't know what we are going to do. June 2: Today we made the front wheels work and we balanced the whole car. But there is a piece that makes one of the wheels not got move. I think the car is too little for the solar panel and i don't know what we are going to do. June 3: Today we ended up with two cars and we don't know which one we are going to use. There is a possibilities that we separate, there are too many problems. We also took off all the parts form the car that Jeffrey brought today and both work so we don't know what is going to happen. June 5: Today we have done a lot, we already know what car we are going to use and we have to take out the big motor and replace it for than small one but its difficult. We also cut the plastic that is not useful out of the car so that it is lighter. Today we used the glue gun to make a base for the car and make it aerodynamic out of carton. June 6: Today we did not do nothing because Jeffrey did not brought the car and he didn't come so we did not have any chose to goof around. But we did a base for the car while goofing around ant it works. June 7: Today we put a solar panel the Jeffrey brought on the car and we made it aerodynamic finally. We wanted to try it but Ms. Fabiola did not let us because she said we made too much noise and there were other classes working. June 10: Today we figure out we couldn't use the big solar panel so we had to make a new car AGAIN! We are in the middle of that process and we are very behind. June 12: today we put the car together but we put the battery to try it and it moved but really slowly , maybe an ant could beat our car. Afterwards we try it again and this time it didn't moved. We figure out the cables of the car were not touching the motor so we have to fix it. June 13: Today we got to fix the motor because it didn't work, we had to paste it with a glue gun but at the end the result was a waste of glue. Nothing happened. Jeffrey is going to take it to his house so that his dad can help him paste the cables to the car. We have to have a special machine so the it can be pasted and dosent come off. June 16: Today we didn't do too much until one member of the group took out a piece of a car that we couldn't take out before! And we put some cables and it worked. We only have to bring a thing that pastes metal so that is sticks to the motor and go to Chosica. We try to make it work with a glue gun but it didn't work, it didn't paste good. And Jeffrey forgot to paste the cables with the old motor... Reflection: Our car at last it didnt worked because the motor was weird. It worked when it wanted so Ms. Lemley told us to go without a car but to take notes. All our effort was for nothing, at least we learned about solar panels and solar cars. A thing i would change is to concntrate more and be in a group that really will not desconcentrate me. I really would have like to have a car but sadly i didnt. If there is a next time i would like to be more independent. |
