May 27:
Today, we couldn’t do anything because the wood we had was too thick and heavy. For tomorrow, I will buy the wood and we will put the car together. Today was just a waste of time. I hope we finish our car on time.
May 29:
Today, we made some progress. We cut the wood in order to make the car. We cut the wood with an exacto knife. But we’re not finished yet so, today we’ll cut it after school. Tomorrow, Olivia is going to bring sandpaper to make the corners circled. Today was not so good because we only got to cut little pieces of wood.
May 30:
Today, we finished cutting the wood. We’re going to use the extra wood to make the wings. Over the weekend, Olivia is going to cut the wood that is left and she is going to bring sandpaper. We tried to take the wheels off a car but it didn’t work so we’re just going to buy wheels. This project is much harder than what I thought it would be. Today is the second day of cutting wood and I think we’re wasting lots of time.
June 2:
Today, Olivia was supposed to bring the cut wood but she didn’t so, she brought sandpaper so we could make the cut piece of wood perfect. We tried cutting the second wood but it was impossible because Olivia’s exacto got stolen. Our task for tomorrow is to cut the base. Andrea and I will cut the wings.
June 3:
Today, we pasted the wood and made it perfect. We have the base now. Everything went really well. For the next class, we’re going to bring wheels and corchos. Our car will be ready. We also painted the car. It went really well.
June 5:
Today everything was dry. We painted our car and we got wheels. Today after school we’re going to put the wheels and our car will be ready. We only need the solar panel and the motor. It went really well and we got a lot of work done.
June 6:
Today, we pasted the wheels. It did not go so well because we didn’t leave the glue to dry. We changed the back wheels because they were not so good. On Monday we’re going to paste the wheels and connect the motor. Honestly, it did not go so well today so after school, we’re going to work on our car.
June 9:
Today, we put the wheels because the others were bad and uneven. We used Styrofoam instead for the wheels. It went very well except that Ms. Lemley took out wheels and motor so she took some useful time. Tomorrow, we’ll finish it and test it.
June 10:
Today we pasted the last wheel. It went very well. We also cut Styrofoam for the solar panel to stay still. We tried our motor and it worked excellent. I think that we’ll be ready to test it on Thursday I think our car will succeed.
June 12:
Today we pasted the motor and we made the wheels tighter. We tested it three times and it still didn’t work so we made the wheel and the motor much tighter so they wouldn’t move. I believe that it will work. Today it did not go so good but we made the car better.
June 13:
Today we tested our car. It still did not work. We didn’t know what to do. Then we put bottle caps instead of Styrofoam on the wheels and we put Styrofoam on the motor. It finally worked! It was slow but it worked! Today was not so good but the car finally worked.
June 16:
We tested our car today. It went really fast but then, it stopped because there was something wrong then, we fixed it and it worked. Our car is now ready!!!
