Born in Lima, Peru, I graduated as a licensed psychologist from The Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. A Ford Foundation grant allowed me to get my MSc. in Social Psychology at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Then I got married!! While my husband studied I got involved in a second MSc. in Developmental and Social Psychology. My Ph.D. in Educational Psychology was awarded by the Catholic University of Nijmegen (Holland) in 1993, after a public defense of a doctoral thesis focused on cognitive monitoring in reading comprehension. Jose Carlos and I have two daughters, who currently reside in Lima, too. |
My current position as Counselor requires that I work with students who are 3 year-old, 4 year-old , Kindergarteners and First Graders, supporting their development in accordance with the traits in the PYP Profile: learning to be caring, good communicators, risk-takers, inquisitive, reflective, principled, well-balanced. |
